Exec Peterborough Welcomes Back Holiday on Ice
Exec Peterborough is delighted to announce that Holiday on Ice will be returning to the venue
for the second year in February 2010.
The 4,646m² exhibition hall will once again be transformed into a winter wonderland and
thousands of visitors will be captivated by this cultural extravaganza of inspirational ice skating.
The fact that Holiday on Ice has returned to exec Peterborough is testament to the versatility of
this venue, and its ideal location.
Last year’s show was the first of its kind in the eastern region and proved to be a huge hit with
the public. People came from all areas of East Anglia and the East Midlands, and many coach
companies bought parties to the Show – taking advantage of the fabulous coach park at the
venue. The location of the venue (on the A1 in Peterborough), means that around 16 million
people are within a two hours drive.
The ease of access into the exhibition hall itself facilitates the easy setting up of not only the ice
itself, but also the grandstand and sound and lighting equipment that enables Holiday on Ice to
create a complete entertainment package for all ages.
The hall has a 9 metre ceiling height, as well as doors that allow access to lorries. There is also a
large service yard adjacent to the building, and because the venue is situated on the East of
England Showground, there is plenty of room for the Show’s lorries to stay on site for the
duration, inside the security fence.
As exec Peterborough has its own catering operation, and so is able to provide visitors to Holiday
on Ice with the whole package – a great evening’s entertainment, with a delicious, locally
sourced, meal.
