Exec Peterborough
Press Release 20 September 2011
From fur and feathers to sport icons and ice-skating – an eclectic mix at Exec
While Exec Peterborough prepares to kick off the autumn season with an agricultural calendar highlight - a proposed programme of top events is proving the regional venue ticks all boxes.
Perfectly positioned close to the A1, Exec Peterborough’s popularity among event organisers and event-goers is further cemented by the venue’s convenient location.
Free parking and a venue that can be adapted to meet the requirements of organisers (including putting in an ice rink!) add to its popularity.
October sees the arrival of all creatures great and small, with the return of the fabulous Autumn Show, organised by the East of England Agricultural Society.
A fantastic family day out, the popular one-day show (October 9) offers something for everyone – from fowl fans to lovers of livestock, mix of fur and feathers all in one location.
And helping to up the ante of the 2011 event will be the arrival of the Supreme London Championships Small Livestock Show – a real coup for Exec Peterborough.
Billed as the ‘rabbit world’s equivalent of Crufts’ the organisers of which have chosen the Peterborough venue to showcase some of the country’s best breeds.
Exec Peterborough events director Keith Dalton said: “This is a real coup for us, and further helps to put the area’s agricultural links on the national map. We are delighted that the organisers of Supreme London Championships Small Livestock Show have chosen to host their event in Peterborough.”
Keith added: “We like to think that we are flying the flag for regional venues, given that we have also been selected to host the televised World Seniors Snooker Championship with some of the sporting greats later this year, and will continue to be the regional home for Holiday On Ice 2012.
“We believe that the range of events we are asked to host or stage at Exec Peterborough demonstrate what a hugely versatile, flexible and conveniently-located venue we have in the heart of the Eastern region.”
