World Prematurity Awareness Day
How you can help to make a real difference to a baby's life.
Every breath counts.
Little Big Souls International Charitable Foundation is hosting a special Family Fiesta & Walk For Babies on November 17th from 5.30pm to raise awareness on the World’s first ever World Prematurity Day and to raise vital funds for the premature babies charity in Africa. Volunteers at Little Big Souls are encouraging local people to come along to The Exec Peterborough at the East of England Showground and complete 5 laps of the building to celebrate the awareness day and join in the celebrations.
Around the walk circuit there will be various entertainment stops with local choirs, bands, dancers and children’s entertainers. Santa will even be making a visit for the children to talk to and have their photos taken.
Everybody who completes the circuit will receive a certificate and other goodies. The event is free to enter and t-shirts will be available to purchase on the evening.
All money raised from the event is vital funds that will help Little Big Souls provide healthcare to babies in Africa, reducing death and disability for pre-term babies. Provide a fighting chance to these beautiful souls.
Yvonne Igweh, from Little Big Souls, said, “The event is about raising awareness about World Prematurity Day and making people aware of the fight premature babies have, especially in Africa. Any funds raised from the event will help give premature babies a fighting chance. 11 babies die every minute in Africa. 700 babies die each day in Nigeria alone, most of these tragic deaths are preventable. This is Little Big Souls first ever event in the UK and it promises to be a great evening for the whole family.”
Hollie Ward, Account Manager, at the Exec added “we wanted to help Little Big Souls launch their fundraising activities in the UK and what better way than to host their event. They are a wonderful organisation doing great things for premature babies and we wanted to offer our support. Refreshments will be available to purchase on the evening and the walk being inside will protect you from the elements.”
